VH Award for Emerging Asian Media Artists

John Michael Kohler Arts Center

Summer/Fall Visual Arts Residency
The application is open to LGBTQ+ visual artists working in a variety of forms ranging from digital and new media to traditional mediums. The resident will be awarded a Brooklyn studio for six months to complete a project or series of works.

This program gives creative individuals the opportunity to explore their passion and process by focusing on a personal project for one year. Residents receive a full salary, health benefits, and more. Artists can also apply to Adobe’s Community Fund for the chance to receive grants or paid commissions of up to $5,000.

Spring 2022 Practitioner Fellows
Artists, media makers, and writers whose work focuses on race, ethnicity, and/or indigeneity in the US can apply for this virtual fellowship, which includes a $10,000 stipend plus up to $1,500 each in research/project funds.

Fire Island Artist Residency
Poetry and Visual Arts Residencies
Five emerging artists who identify as LGBTQ+ will share a live/work space in Cherry Grove, Fire Island, for a four-week program in which leaders in contemporary art provide mentorship and public lectures.

Ethics and Labor in Art History Workshop
Art history graduate students can apply to join this two-day convening on the state of the field, employment conditions, and the ethical transgressions and future directions of the discipline. Participants will receive a $100 stipend.

Emerging Voices Fellowship
